I LOVE New Orleans! People who celebrate life, especially through its food traditions, including many Italian recipes. For you, I’ve put together my best recipes to help with your Mardi Gras plans. Plus, you can enjoy these recipes whenever you like….you don’t have to wait!
If you google the most frequently listed “top” traditional Mardi Gras dishes enjoyed in New Orleans, you’ll find that the list includes:
- King Cake
- “Debris” Roast Beef Po’Boy Sandwiches
- Muffuletta Sandwiches (which can be broken down into ‘skewers)
- Bananas Foster (for this, I made muffins)
- Bread Pudding with Caramel Apple Sauce

Roz, you are rocking New Orleans cuisine. I have to admit fried green tomatoes can rock my world. Southern Fried Chicken I have tried my hand at numerous times and I have to tel you, I decided this is a dish that has love ingredients… Every time I make it, it’s good but, the special touch is missing. Honestly, all the dishes have my attention.
