Practicing good health routines, including eating good foods instead of overly processed foods is one way of taking care of ourselves during this pandemic crisis. Now that I’ve shared the ‘must-haves’ for your pantry basics, it’s time to share some delicious healthy recipes made with pantry staples.
Being prepared for long-term homestays certainly helps reduce the stress that we’re all feeling right now.
So here are some relatively easy recipes for you!
Now you know that I just have to start with pasta and soups! Since pasta is the easiest, let’s start there:
If you don’t have your own roasted and frozen red peppers, there are jarred red peppers next to the olives in your food store.
Pantry Staples: Dried Pasta, jarred red peppers, parmesan cheese
Quite simply pasta, cheese and pepper. Easy, inexpensive, fast, and amazingly delicious!
Pantry staples: Dried pasta, black pepper, pecorino cheese
Pantry Staples: Dried pasta, breadcrumbs, garlic, butter
Pantry staples: dried lentils, vegetables, canned tomatoes, parmesan cheese
Pantry Staples: Dried pasta, canned beans, canned tomato sauce & paste, onion, garlic, parmesan cheese
Pantry Staples: Canned beans, canned tomatoes, ground beef and pork from the freezer, onions, spices
Pantry staples: Chicken stock, dried pasta, parmesan cheese
Since we all have potatoes, carrots, and onions in our pantries:
Pantry Staples: carrots, olive oil, parmesan cheese
Pantry Staples: Potatoes, Garlic, Sour Cream, Cream Cheese, Butter
Pantry Staples: Potatoes, Garlic, Rosemary, Olive oil
Pantry Staples; Canned tuna, jarred sundried tomatoes, dried pasta, onion
Pantry Staples: Canned tuna, canned artichokes, olives, dried pasta, onion
Pantry Staples: Chicken (either from a can, rotisserie, or from the freezer), onion, mayonnaise, celery, dried cranberries, grapes
Pantry Staples: Bagels, turkey slices from deli or meat department, jarred sundried tomato pesto, jarred basil pesto, red onion
Pantry Staples: Flour, olive oil, asiago cheese, yeast
